MOHS Commemorates World Malaria Day

Ministry of Health and Sanitation in collaboration with Roll Back Malaria has on Monday 25th April, 2016 officially commemorated World Malaria Day, and launched the National Malaria Control Strategic Documents (2016-2020). The Theme of the ninth World Malaria Day was ‘’End Malaria for Good’’ and the Slogan was “Leh wi join han for tap Malaria’’.
The Programme Manager, Dr. Juana Smith whilst doing a short presentation about the current status of malaria control in Sierra Leone said, it was a remarkable day to commemorate one of the oldest and deadliest diseases in human history. He said, the ‘’End for Good’’ calls for action to be taken in ending Malaria.
