The Coordinator, Health for all Coalition, Victor Lansana Koroma has called on Government and health partners to invest more resources in order to maintain progress in the fight against malaria.
He made this call during the commemoration of World Malaria Day, held at the Miatta Conference Hall on Monday 25th where he praised the efforts of the National Malaria Control Programme in the fight against the dreadful disease.
Mr Koroma also recognised the global efforts to reduce and end malaria, but the challenges are still visible, therefore more push is needed to end the disease.
He applauded Government and partners for producing the 2016-2020 malaria strategic plans, which he hoped will do justice to improve on gains made.
As he took the podium, the Country Coordinator Coordinating Mechanism of Global Fund in Sierra Leone, Rev. Alimamy Kargbo broke the good news of $32 million Dollar support to fight against malaria.
