As he ends mission in Salone: FAO Rep dedicates time served to female farmers

Primary tabs

After serving as the Country Representative for the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in Sierra Leone for over five years, Gabriel Rugalema has finally ended his mission in the country and is set to move on to another assignment.
In an interview with Awoko, the FAO Representative spoke about his experience and successes during his tenure in Sierra Leone.

For the time spent in the country, working with different partners and groups especially in agriculture, he said the most important community he worked with are female famers and “I want to dedicate my time here to these female farmers of Sierra Leone that worked very hard on a daily basis to make sure that they have food and income” adding “I have been to many villages and have seen how they do their job”, futhering that “with a bit of support in the agriculture (sector) we will start tackling poverty”.
